The patient's journey at Global Medical Institute in Lausanne

At Global Medical Institute, our priority is not just to relieve the pain you suffer from in the form of chronic migraines, chronic headaches, Arnold's neuralgia or vascular angina. Our aim is to make your experience a positive and pleasant one, and to help you understand exactly why you are suffering from certain types of pain.

Our specialized team at Global Medical Institute will always be on hand at every stage of the healing process to explain our approach principles and offer various solutions.

At Global Medical Institute, patients and specialized doctors work together to identify and alleviate your main problems. Indeed, we believe that only the patient can lead us to the best solution, because it's tailor-made to relieve your unique pain. We'll use our knowledge and experience to help you identify your problem. Together, we will then discuss and reach a common conclusion and strategy.

At Global Medical Institute, initial contact is usually by telephone or e-mail. Patients will receive an informative “package” including forms to fill in about the history of their chronic migraines, chronic headaches, Arnold's neuralgia or Vascular Algesia. You will also be asked to complete forms such as a migraine diary and questionnaires such as the MIDAS (Migraine Disability Assessment Test), to enable us to understand how your chronic migraines, chronic headaches, Arnold's neuralgia or Vascular Algesia impact your daily life. Each patient fills in the forms, enabling us to visualize together the progress that has been made at the end of the treatment.

Medical specialists at Global Medical Institute will evaluate your case. If a possibility of relieving your pain is identified, there will be an initial medical consultation either in our center, by telephone or video-consultation (depending on your specific needs, your home or your ability to travel).

During the consultation in our center, a series of diagnostic tests will be carried out (including, in specific cases of chronic migraines, chronic headaches, Arnold's neuralgia or Vascular Algesia, botox or botulinum toxin infiltrations, as well as other infiltrations specific to your problem). Tests are virtually painless, and are delivered very precisely in a very short time: there's no need to be afraid.

The most important part of the follow-up to the diagnostic tests is that the patients themselves will be able to tell us with certainty the origin of the problems they are experiencing, such as chronic migraines, chronic headaches, Arnold's neuralgia or vascular angina. For the first time, patients will not only be able to understand the origin of their problem, they will also be able to tell their specialist at Global Medical Institute the best strategy for recovery.
